Studentship Data System Planned System Maintenance

We will be carrying out system maintenance on 5 February 2026 between 08.00 and 13.00. This may cause intermittent disruption or system errors if you are creating or updating records at this time. We recommend you try and complete your later in the day before contacting the UKRI Helpdesk.

Grant Issues

We are aware some grants are not visible on the SDS. The two possible reasons for this are:

Inactive Grant

Please note that for grants issued through TFS, these will not appear on the new studentship system until the start confirmation has been submitted and the grant is active. Please first check that an activation request has been submitted if the grant is not visible.

Grant Collaborators

We have identified an issue with some EPSRC, MRC and NERC grants where the collaborating partners are not pulling through to the new system. This means that the lead training grants are not visible when a collaborating partner is creating a new studentship record. We are working to get these details updated on the system and will confirm once it is complete.

Deadlines

Due to some initial log in issues for some users; and the current issue with some consortia grants, the deadline for submitting new studentship records has been extended to 20 February. Amendments to existing records should be completed by 13 March.
